July 2007, I think
I'm writing this with the summer already disappearing from view like a speck on the horizon (in September), but if I recall correctly in July we decided that the only way to discipline our children was to set birds of prey upon them as the picture here shows.
It also stopped raining briefly enough for us to see a marvelous display of falconry at a local castle by a couple dressed in medieval costume.
What else happened in July? ...End of school events, like a Chinese dragon procession through the streets of Bradford and also a fine musical at the school with Tom playing a member of a jury. This is all an eternity ago so I'll just post some pictures instead...
Note the huge spooky owl in the middle.
This picture misses the lady's groovy platformed clogs.
Chinese dragon and, er, English flag waving event.
(Sarah reliably informs me this was in fact St. George's Day which is in April.)
Tom found God and then lost him again,
so he tried ringing..
